What to Expect at Our Gatherings
What is the gathering like?
We believe that worship is to be both reverent and joyful, Spirit-led and orderly. We believe that it ought to connect worshippers to the depth and width and breadth of Christianity throughout the ages, but that it also ought to be a fresh and modern expression of the ageless, changeless message of Jesus Christ. Because we have these values, we have adopted a blended approach to worship. We worship God with the aid of hymns written dozens of years ago or even centuries ago as well as with the aid of praise songs written this year. The point of a blended worship gathering is to join people of diverse interests, ages, values, and styles in a unified voice of thanks to our one God. We point our worshippers to the value in music they have never heard before or do not naturally enjoy so that we can be one in praise to Christ.
Instruments used to accompany our praise of God are piano and
organ as well as acoustic guitar.

What should I wear?
This isn't intended to boss or offend anyone. The fact is people ask this question about churches all the time: what should I wear to not stand out too much? What is appropriate or
inappropriate? From God's perspective, nothing has changed
since Saul's day (1040 BC) when He spoke through the prophet
Samuel saying "man looks at the outward appearance but God looks
at the heart." (1
Samuel 16:7) God isn't impressed by your fancy clothes
or insulted by your lack of fancy clothes. God wants to
work on your heart and change it into something beautiful.
Character, morality, eagerness, godliness: these are the things
God wants from you. This is what we want from worshippers
too. In fact, Jesus instructs His church to ignore flashy
people and to serve the lowly ones first (James
2:1-10).
So back to the original question.. what to wear? Wear
what is comfortable and natural for yourself. Be yourself,
after all, God will see the real you anyway. But also,
wear what will be comfortable for worshippers around you.
Dress modestly as to not draw the attention of your fellow
worshippers away from God and on to you. So whether it is
a suit or dress on one hand, or jeans or khakis or shorts on the
other, sincerely God and your church family in Camden want to
bring you closer to your Maker in our worship gatherings and are not really concerned about your attire.
