Ministries

Our Purpose is to intentionally train people to know God more fully, to serve Him according to their gifts and abilities, and to worship Him in word and deed. Therefore we have developed our various ministries to live out this purpose.

Weekly Ministries

Sundays

Sunday School (9:45am-10:45am at Church): our Sunday School program begins with a unified opening for all ages where we sing together and have a Scripture reading and sharing time. Then we split by age to various Bible Study classes. Each class is using the same curriculum series and studies the same Bible story.

Morning Worship (11am-12pm at Church): this is a traditional service of worship and preaching, geared for the corporate gathering of the believers. Pastor Schmoyer is preaching through Specials.

Nursery Ministry (11am-12pm at the Church): This is a ministry for the younger church attendees during Morning Worship.

Evening Worship (7-8pm at Church): this is a casual service of worship and Bible study. Often there is sharing time, the singing of favorites, modern music, and more interactive study of the Scriptures. Currently, we are studying Holy Spirit.

Wednesdays

Prayer Meeting (7-7:45pm at Church): this is a meeting focused on praying for the concerns of the congregation, the community, the nation and the world. Join us in interceding for these various needs.

Women's Bible Study (7:45-8:30pm at the Church): this is a gathering for women to grow together and grow in their understanding of the Bible and commitment to the Lord. Contact the Church for details or email the Ladies' Fellowship Committee at ladies@camdenbfc.org.

Men's Bible Study (7:45-8:30pm at the Church): This is an informal, interactive Bible study for men. Join us for a great time of fellowship and strengthening as we understand God through His Word. Contact the Church for details.

Kids' Club (7:00-8:30pm at the Church): This is a gathering all for kids. We sing, we play, we learn what God is all about.

Nursery Ministry (8:00-8:30pm at the Church): This is a ministry for those kids under age 3 whose parent attends prayer meeting and/or Bible study.

Non-Weekly Ministries

Men's Breakfast (8-9:30am on the 2nd Saturday of every month at Hall's Restaurant, Wyoming, DE): this is a fellowship and prayer time for the men of this community.

Ladies Fellowship (seasonal at Church): this is a fellowship opportunity for the ladies of the church and community.

Vacation Bible School (June 26-30, 2006: 6:30-8:30pm): This is a ministry to young kids, ages 3-12, with games, crafts, Bible lessons, snacks, and great times. We went into the wild west for Avalanche Ranch!

Other Information

Some Committees Responsible for Ministries

Elder Board: local congregations in our denomination are ruled by local elders. Our Elder Board oversees all the functions of our Church.

Christian Education Committee: this group oversees the Sunday School classes and other education functions of our Church under the direction of our elders.

Missions Committee: this group supports missionaries and directs local outreach events.

Ladies Fellowship Committee: this group designs opportunities for ladies to fellowship and encourage each other.
