Love Your Enemy...Right!

- Sermons - Esther

Preached at the Sunday Morning service on January 24, 2010 by Pastor Ray Bertolet.
Part of the Esther series.

Your driving down the road, beside you is a fellow who has been driving recklessly and you begin to
think that you may be in danger. At that moment, you notice that he has a tire that is about to explode.
What do you do? Do you try and alert the driver or do you just get out of his way and let whatever
happens happen? After all, he has been driving reckless. And, you not making him crash, your just
letting it happen. Soooooooo, why not let it happen.

Mordecai found himself in a similar situation. King Ahasuerus was not the most likeable king. The king
also had issued an order that resulted in Esther being taken away from Mordecai. So, what is he to do?

  1. Sandra Workman says:

Pastor Ray – Harry and I just listened to your message. Again, very soul searching and thought provoking. I think of the Scripture passage that says “Examine yourself and see if your in the faith”. This is a daily walk – keep on being filled with the Spirit – confessing sin and renewing right fellowship with the Lord. Good exhortation! Blessings, H&S

  2. Donna Coverdale says:

God wants us to Himself, with no idols before Him. This message helps us to realize how easy it is to become distracted from the things of the Lord in our daily lives.
