Oh the Rust

- Sermons - Marriage/Relationships

Preached at the Sunday Morning service on March 7, 2010 by Pastor Ray Bertolet.
Part of the Marriage/Relationships series.

Just a small spot of rust, why should I worry about that tiny
spot? That may be what you are thinking, but over time we
watch the spot grow and grow and before we know it, we
have a hole in the fender of the car. If only we had taken
care of it when it was small and manageable. Sin can have
the same effect in our life or marriage. That one area where
we simply overlook some sin in our life till it grows into
something that is “big and nasty” requiring lots of
painstaking effort to deal with the consequences, sometimes
the damage will have long term effect on our life or well
being.

Day 23 Love Dare: Remove anything that is hindering your
relationship, any addiction or influence that's stealing your
affections and turning your heart away from your spouse, (or
God).

  1. Sandra Workman says:

Pastor Ray – Harry and I just listened to your message. Again, very soul searching and thought provoking. I think of the Scripture passage that says “Examine yourself and see if your in the faith”. This is a daily walk – keep on being filled with the Spirit – confessing sin and renewing right fellowship with the Lord. Good exhortation! Blessings, H&S

  2. Donna Coverdale says:

God wants us to Himself, with no idols before Him. This message helps us to realize how easy it is to become distracted from the things of the Lord in our daily lives.
