- Sermons - Enjoying Life

Preached at the Sunday Morning service on February 20, 2011 by Pastor Ray Bertolet.
Part of the Enjoying Life series.

Why are we signing up 5 year olds for little league baseball? We concluded that if there is any hope for them to be involved in sports in the future we better start getting them prepared today. We have dreams for them. We see them achieving goals and getting college scholarship. We don't want to be caught unprepared. Peter has just finished telling us that we were going to have testing and that testing was going to result in the proving of our faith. Now, Peter calls out for us to be prepared.

1 Peter 1:13-25 13 Therefore, prepare your minds for action, keep sober in spirit, fix your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

  1. Sandra Workman says:

Pastor Ray – Harry and I just listened to your message. Again, very soul searching and thought provoking. I think of the Scripture passage that says “Examine yourself and see if your in the faith”. This is a daily walk – keep on being filled with the Spirit – confessing sin and renewing right fellowship with the Lord. Good exhortation! Blessings, H&S

  2. Donna Coverdale says:

God wants us to Himself, with no idols before Him. This message helps us to realize how easy it is to become distracted from the things of the Lord in our daily lives.
