Tomorrow Will Come

- Sermons - Rotten Apples

Preached at the Sunday Morning service on July 10, 2011 by Pastor Ray Bertolet.
Part of the Rotten Apples series.

There once was a little boy who cried wolf when there wasn't any wolf. The result was that when the wolf did show up, the village did not come to help because they didn't believe it was true. Peter warns the believers that there is a claim that since nothing has changed since the first statements that Christ would return, the Lord will not return at all. Live like you want because nothing is happening.

2 Peter 3:1-2 This is now, beloved, the second letter I am writing to you in which I am stirring up your sincere (pure) mind by way of reminder, 2 that you should remember the words spoken beforehand by the holy prophets and the commandment of the Lord and Savior spoken by your apostles.

Pastor Ray – Harry and I just listened to your message. Again, very soul searching and thought provoking. I think of the Scripture passage that says “Examine yourself and see if your in the faith”. This is a daily walk – keep on being filled with the Spirit – confessing sin and renewing right fellowship with the Lord. Good exhortation! Blessings, H&S

  2. Donna Coverdale says:

God wants us to Himself, with no idols before Him. This message helps us to realize how easy it is to become distracted from the things of the Lord in our daily lives.
