Beyond Boredom to Life

- Sermons - Growing Through Life's Challenges

Preached at the Sunday Morning service on October 2, 2011 by Pastor Ray Bertolet.
Part of the Growing Through Life's Challenges series.

Do you feel like just getting through a day is a challenge? Do you think your life needs more “excitement? How can we survive the monotony of a day to day life and find a way to grow in the Lord.

I get up, eat breakfast...work….eat lunch…work…eat supper…rest…go to bed and start all over again. I am bored, how do I get out of this rut. Would it surprise you to know that Moses also struggled with life? Moses! Look at all the exciting thing he did during his life, how can this be.

God's Eternity and Man's Transitoriness.

A Prayer of Moses, the man of God.

Ps 90:1-2 Lord, You have been our dwelling place in all generations. 2 Before the mountains were born Or You gave birth to the earth and the world, Even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God.

Pastor Ray – Harry and I just listened to your message. Again, very soul searching and thought provoking. I think of the Scripture passage that says “Examine yourself and see if your in the faith”. This is a daily walk – keep on being filled with the Spirit – confessing sin and renewing right fellowship with the Lord. Good exhortation! Blessings, H&S

God wants us to Himself, with no idols before Him. This message helps us to realize how easy it is to become distracted from the things of the Lord in our daily lives.
