Lessons From Mom

- Sermons - Miscellaneous

Preached at the Sunday Morning service on May 13, 2012 by Pastor Tim Schmoyer.
Part of the Miscellaneous series.

Have you ever spent time trying to teach something to someone and you just don’t think they understand? Maybe they look like they listen but you think they aren’t really paying attention. How will you ever know if they truly learned anything? It may come many years later when they reference something you taught them. Or perhaps, you just see them doing thing the way you showed them time and time again.

Have you thought about how many times you do something the way you do it because your mother taught you that way?

Moms (and all of us) can impact a life for a life time even if we only have a short time with that person.

  1. Sandra Workman says:

Pastor Ray – Harry and I just listened to your message. Again, very soul searching and thought provoking. I think of the Scripture passage that says “Examine yourself and see if your in the faith”. This is a daily walk – keep on being filled with the Spirit – confessing sin and renewing right fellowship with the Lord. Good exhortation! Blessings, H&S

  2. Donna Coverdale says:

God wants us to Himself, with no idols before Him. This message helps us to realize how easy it is to become distracted from the things of the Lord in our daily lives.
