Praying in Dark Times

- Sermons - Book of Daniel

Preached at the Sunday Morning service on May 19, 2013 by Pastor Ray Bertolet.
Part of the Book of Daniel series.

You look at a picture of a beach and you may start to long to go there. A few days later your spouse comes home and in his hand he is holding two tickets for a flight to this beach and hotel reservation all set for 6 months from now. You will mark it on the calendar and begin to consider the steps you need to follow to be ready for that day. Someone to watch the kids, check. Vacation days set at work, check. Passports, check….and so it continues until the day arrives.

  1. Sandra Workman says:

Pastor Ray – Harry and I just listened to your message. Again, very soul searching and thought provoking. I think of the Scripture passage that says “Examine yourself and see if your in the faith”. This is a daily walk – keep on being filled with the Spirit – confessing sin and renewing right fellowship with the Lord. Good exhortation! Blessings, H&S

  2. Donna Coverdale says:

God wants us to Himself, with no idols before Him. This message helps us to realize how easy it is to become distracted from the things of the Lord in our daily lives.
