The Prophecy of Zecharias

- Sermons - Christmas

Preached at the Sunday Evening service on December 23, 2007 by Pastor Tim Schmoyer.
Part of the Christmas series.

Zecharias is the father of John the Baptist. According to Luke, he was a major player in the larger Christmas event. Mary, the mother of Jesus, spent six months at his house during her pregnancy. When John was born, Zecharias proclaimed a prophecy about the future ministries of Jesus and John and their inter-connectedness in Old Testament prophecies.

  1. Sandra Workman says:

Pastor Ray – Harry and I just listened to your message. Again, very soul searching and thought provoking. I think of the Scripture passage that says “Examine yourself and see if your in the faith”. This is a daily walk – keep on being filled with the Spirit – confessing sin and renewing right fellowship with the Lord. Good exhortation! Blessings, H&S

God wants us to Himself, with no idols before Him. This message helps us to realize how easy it is to become distracted from the things of the Lord in our daily lives.
